The death warrant of a man

             I originally wanted to tell you the quiet story of an ordinary day, but this is it. Alad V has crossed the line. This footage has been seen by all of us.

            He has desecrated the bodies of our kind and Zanuka came to light. He has done it, and has signed his death warrant. He has never been more than a temporary ally for dubious causes, but until now, he was not our arch enemy. You notice I didn't say nemesis, because he doesn't deserve that honour. But now, he has frightened even corpus high-ups who fear what his rise in power might do. One of this men came to us, and said this:

            So Alad V was foolish enough to use the infested as shield. He must be very desperate to do such folly. But now, the Golem is on the move, and Infested are invading corpus territory. If it is to repel the endless hordes, we have to help them. If we get Alad V's location in the process, all the better. He has crossed the final line and will be put down. Choosing his enemies so poorly will be his last mistake. When I face him, the only question I would be asking is "Why calling us traitors?" The Answer would be the only thing buying him a few seconds to live.

             In the mist of all this rage, it seems another warframe came to shield our flesh. I've yet to see any, but I've heard of her. The Valkyr. She is said to be fearsome, but in the meantime, I feel pity for her. She is rumoured to have been born in corpus labs, tested on and tortured by the butchers. I cannot imagine how much violence it can unleash to balance the horrors that lurks beyond the eyes of the schematics. Yet I cannot believe the Corpus could create a warframe on their own. They are not worthy. 

            I wonder if they haven't found it in deep space, managed to keep its existence a secret, and that Alad V doesn't care any more about secrecy now his zanuka project his ready. But then, I would wonder why the Valkyr would have never been seen before. Were all the schematics hidden in some kind of secret vault, far away in deep space? 

             It is said we were crafted by the long lost Orokin, and this is why I don't think the Corpus really created the Valkyr. Of those I shall speak another time, but they are not supposed to be around here; except perhaps the Lotus herself, but this thoughts are also to be kept for another time. The thing is, if new warframes schematics continue to appear in the solar system, and if the Corpus aren't the ones creating them, then who is? Is it possible that there is, somewhere, Orokin craftsmen marking schematics to help us and the Lotus?

            It would be nice to know we are not alone in this fight. But for now, there's really no way to make anything but mere assumptions. I've also heard of Tennos who came back from the Void with schematics of a new prime warframe we had never seen before. Ember. Of this, I shall also speak more fully another time. But Honing those new forms might prove useful in the fight to come. 

 

            repelling the infested might not be that hard on the short term, but could prove troublesome on the long run, especially with the Golem on the move. We'll need all the assets we can get, and any tiny little bit counts. As for Alad V himself... this might prove difficult. Taking down zanuka will be no walk in the park, and it will certainly not be alone. It saddens me to fight what has been made out of Tenno corpses, but we won't be left with much of a choice. it has to be done: this desecration needs to be put out of its misery.

            When Alad V is no more and the Infested are repelled, I wonder what Frohd Bek will do. For the first time in a long run, our future as Tenno is open and might not look as grim. It all weights on Bek's shoulders, though. It is up to him to consider us as more than mercenaries, and make his kind stop dissecting our own. Frankly, I doubt he ever will: he is a Corpus after all. For now, all we have s a common enemy we want to take down for very different reasons. So, we'll follow this road. For now. We'll see to what it leads.

And at the moment, the road says: slay the Infested.
